they took a chest x-ray and saw no nodule (at least they didn't say anything about one) and said I had pneunonia or acute bronchitis - I saw the x-ray and it showed a white shadow - thought that was initeresting that it showed nothing "suspicious" as the one in Dec. 2008 - I went to FL for months (Jan-Feb) - got pretty sick and ended up in ER in Feb. One interesting note - I had that first x-ray in Dec. Everyone is different so you need to do what makes you be at peace. The surgery was horrific and I am reminded everyday of what my body went through but feel like I've been given a second chance in life. Mine was malignant so I had ULL totally removed - good news is they got it all and I have had NO oncology involvement. My pulmonologist said it is "always" considered cancer until proven otherwise. The nodule had grown twice its size (I can't remember what it was) but anyway that got the ball rolling - I had bronchoscopy, PET scan, brain CT and lung function test - NONE of these tests could definitively give dx of cancer so i had what my pulmonary doc called the "big biopsy." This was thoracic surgery where they literally remove the lung and biopsy it while you are still under - if it's malignant they remove the whole lung and if not just a wedge where the nodule is located. As it turned out I had a very severe UTI but it was that x-ray that showed a "suspcious nodule." Had CT and they said no worry at thit time but have it rechecked in 4 months which I did. I went to the doctor for something totally unrelated to cold, sinus, bronchitis but my doctor is so thorough he did blood work, urinalysis, infuenza swab and chest x-ray. Sending prayers your way to contemplate on, He's a sweetie, but these Golden Years are much different than those people talk about. I have had 3 of my own, and altogether raised 10.
GOD BLESS YOU wanting another baby at 40.
If you can find one of them, it probably would give you some peace of mind.
#Lung cancer xray full
Every so often, there is a company that will do a full body scan for a reasonable price. It would pay to have a chest x-ray every other year unless you have symptoms such as I did, then don't wait. I had NO other symptoms whatsoever and at the time, I was 69 years old and working every day. The problem is, Cancer is the Great Deceiver, and my cancer was found by accident, because I came down with bronchitis, and it did not go away as fast as my primary doctor thought it should, thus the reason for the x-ray. Three years prior, I had an x-ray and nothing showed. My cancer showed up on an x-ray and it was rather large in my lower right lobe.
